Fourier GR-3
Fourier Intelligence stands out as one of the most distinctive humanoid companies in the global market. A Shanghai-headquartered platform builder with roots in rehabilitation exoskeletons, it has recently swung to the business side and focused on research platforms of general-purpose humanoids. GR-3 is the company's 2026 flagship product, and it inherits the capabilities of GR-1 and GR-2, but with higher degrees of freedom and greater flexibility. In this review, we consider whether the rehabilitation heritage and research-based approach of Fourier Intelligence will result in a humanoid that is a serious competitor in research, or whether its research-first orientation will mean it's less attractive for enterprise commercialization.
